What could be more fun and educational than becoming a better actor through playing many different theater games intended to improve your skills as a performer? In this class, we will explore lots of activities that utilize your stage skills, your memory, your imagination and your movement ability. It promises to be a memorable week of learning and laughs. Instructor: David Macaluso.
THE FOUNDATIONS OF GOOD SINGING
Monday – Friday, July 8th – 12th ● 1pm – 3:30pm
Do you like to sing? This class is for students who want to learn how to sing using correct breathing support and to develop the stamina needed to sing while moving onstage –this class is NOT about learning how to sing in the American Idol vocal style. The class will culminate in a presentation for family and friends. Instructor: Paul Sigrist.
Monday – Friday, July 15th – 19th ● 1pm – 3:30pm
Learning how to improvise is an important skill every actor needs. In this class, we will explore many fun ways you can achieve the skills needed to do improv, including imagination exercises, improvised scene work both alone and with other actors, relaxation techniques and storytelling exercises–and, in the process, you’ll have a really good time. Instructor: Paul Sigrist.
SHAKESPEARE FOR YOUNG ACTORS
Monday – Friday, July 22nd – 26th ● 1pm – 3:30pm
