Youth Musical Theater Conservatory
Each spring, Home Made Theater offers the extremely popular Youth Musical Theater Conservatory program. The Conservatory program gives kids an exciting, creative and supportive environment in which to experience the thrill and exhilaration of performing on the main stage. All students who register are cast in the production that is performed in the Spa Little Theater. Performances are open to friends, family, and the general public. No experience is necessary and children of all levels are welcome. Generally, rehearsals are two afternoons a week for two hours, with five-hour rehearsals on Saturdays. Performances are generally the third weekend in May. Join our List to get the latest information about this exciting program!
The Youth Musical Theater Conservatory is currently on pause, until it is safe to work and perform in groups again.
ACTING STUDIES FOR ALL AGES
Home Made Theater offers acting opportunities for everyone: from stage veterans to those who have never “trod the boards” and would like to learn! To be the first to know about all our exciting opportunities for actors, keep an eye out here and get on the List today!
Past classes have included introductory acting, musical theater and audition preparation for musicals and dramas, scene study, and improvisation Audition Prep. Classes are held at the Spa Little Theater in the Saratoga Spa State Park and are usually limited to 12 students per class. Registrations will be accepted in the order in which they are received, and payment must be included for registration to be accepted.
In person acting classes are currently on pause, but watch for virtual opportunities.
THE SHUSTER SERIES OF PLAY READINGS
Join us for “round table” play readings as we dissect and discuss as a group. Roles are assigned so all who attend get plenty of “performance” time.
Selected Sundays at 1:00pm October through April
We did move these online this spring and will continue in the virtual environment for Fall 2020.
